Update on Job

Well I was informed last nite that I did not get the position I applied and interviewed for. The Director said that she selected me, but her Boss did not approve it. She sent me up twice as her choice. Her boss stated that my knowledge was in the technical area, and not the Leadership roll she thought the position should be. The Director however felt that I need the technical expertise in order to lead and direct the staff. She said she could have pushed for it, but she has seen how they treat ppl who they didn't want selelcted. So she dropped it, and is trying to find me another way in, because she really respects the work that I do. I thanked her for not putting me in the Lion's Den. Cause I could not work with ppl doing their best to set me up for failure.

At least, I had the opportunity to brush up on my application and interviewing experience. Cause I really haven't had to do either since I got this position 6 years ago.

Thanks for all that wished me luck and kept me in their prayers. Holla.

Lessons Learned, Obervations, and What I remember

From the Howard Homecoming Weekend Activities:

Ok, I am really busy, but after reading everyone's accounts I had to throw my 2 cents in... I type this as I eat my lunch....yes left overs from the party....LOL


Lessons Learned:

• When throwing a party for yall, there is no need to buy beer. Ya'll lushes want straight alcohol.
• Don't STRESS. Everything will be alright.
• PPL will eat chilli off a plate if that's all you give them, lol.
• I need to make playlist on my ipod to keep the music pumpin'
• Noone sells card tables with the chairs anymore.
• Having no furniture on one level comes in handy
• Wendy's paper condement cups are great for Jello shots.
• If you make it they will eat it
• Crack don't always kill. Sometimes it just makes for good pictures.
• I am a party thrower, not just a goer!!!!

Observations:

• Laa is very observant. Even when she's drunk. She's the only one who noticed HE had a few extra digits.
• Missy will knock a nicca out, if he disrespects one of her girls.
  

What I remember (in no particular order):

• Eddie waking me up in my bedroom to see some folks out.
• Waking up in no touch zones arms on the couch in the basement. And yes all clothes were on and no bodily fluids were exchanged. LOL.
• Saving the red beans and rice by falling with the pan.
• Pushing my girl out the way, saying you aint doing that right. and Proceeding to Give her "Friend" a lap dance
• GTL administering and participating in all shots taken
• Dynasty tryna give a bunch of drunks the directions for playing gestures
• Being on the bathroom floor when TTD opened the door. 1st she asked if I was ok, then she asked where another bathroom was.
• Latn, Enigma, and Missy behind closed doors in the laundry room
• Crack, Crack, and more crack.
• Kween acting her arce off and looking hella good in them outfits.
• Wine in the box
• TTD refusing to listen to anyone talk until her husband's song went off.
• Me playing off tripping/missteppin by dropping it like it was hot.
• Laa talking real slow, the drunker she got.
• Someone blurting Fawk you in the middle of the questions game.
• A couple of hot and steamy dares
• Being told my roommate rolled in the party like he was my husband.
• Reesie getting her dance on
• Missy's bra strap
• Reesie's bra in general
• Having to convince Gmo he needed to stay (as he layed his head on my kitchen table) and Coax him under the covers
• TTD ready to go (heck it was 4 in the morn) and GTL wanting to stay...something about an interesting convo, lol.
• Cool AC and Jackie arriving and telling me their Gov't names and me tryna figure out who they belonged to. LOL. It didn't click till they said their blog names.
• Me telling Cool AC where everything was and her saying where's the chaser. LOL.
• Ressie telling me to be good to her boy...and me thinking does she mean break him off real proper like or don't dog him out, lol....
• And Laa tryna hook me up for the night with No touch zone. She said don't you wanna lay up with No1 tonite. LOL. Good looking out girl.

Awards.

Ok I started some awards in my last post:

• Enigma for first one to arrive. He came in as I was bringing the food upstairs, lol. He said he thought the party started at 6. lol
• Mikey last to leave. Lets just say he was there long enough to have breakfast and watch all but the last 10 mins of the Skins game. He saw us out when we left to take Laa to the airport.
• LAA. Girl you right you get the Came the farthest award. She came all the way for MI. She bought her ticket before Missy did and was packed at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Reesie. Gets the Putting your foot all up in it award. You tasted the food. So no need to explain.
• Mikey and Gmo. Get the Mix it up Drink award. Them frozen drinks and punch were on point.
• TTD and GTL. Get the cutest couple award. There were too cute for words.
• Missy gets the Most Photographed award. Damn missy we want to be seen too.
• The Paparatzi award goes to SRB (i think thats the alias Missy had for him on the slide show)
• Dynasty. Gets the trooper award. She didn't go to bed till 4:30-5am but she was gone by 9:30 am so she could work at the convention center.
• Kween. gets the Tony, Oscar, and the Emmy. Locals go see "Never Sleep Alone" and you'll know what I mean.
• NO1. Yeah I'm giving myself an award. I get the hostess with the mostess award.

Well thats all for now gotta get back to work. I'll add more lessons learned, observations, and memories as they come to mind.

Missy, Laa, Dynasty...Thanks for all the help with the set up and of course putting up with me stressing out. I know yall really wanted a nap before hand. Hey, I think its 5 o'clock some where so what's up ladies. LMAO
