there is really no reason for me to attempt to loose weight right before Turkey day. I would only be setting myself up for failure. Cause I'm sure I will be overendulging on all the goodies. And I know you're thinking, so that means the same excuse for Christmas. No, after Thanksgiving I'll have a month to buckle down. If I have success, than Christmas dinner will be my just reward. :). Small steps, small baby teeny tiny steps. I'll get there eventually. In due time. I certainly didn't get this PLUMP over night.

Why can't my cup be half full?????
I've always been a cup half empty kinda girl. Always debating myself to death. Yes, its good to way the pros and cons. But it seems I always side on the cons, always think the worse of things. Not sure why I'm geared that way. Although the half empty outlook, can often keep me from getting hurt. I usually don't expect too much out of ppl, so when they do me wrong, i'm not disappointed. Can't be when you never expected much in the first place.
But I recongnize that I need a new out look. I need to be a cup half full kinda girl. Hell may a full cup would be in order every now and then.

Oh well can't cry over spilt milk. Hopefully, I can make it on that packed lawn on Jan 20th. I won't forget to take pics then. :)

My Barack the Vote 2008 Experience
Worked from home so I could go to the polls at what I thought would be an optimal time. Figured if I went at 10ish, I'd miss those going b4 work and beat those voting during lunch.
My thoughts were wrong. The line was hella long, wrapped around the culdisac, and absolutely no where to park. So I went back home. Worked for another 2 hours, then tried again @ 12:30PM. Got there was able to park and the line was slightly shorter, only half way around the culdisac.
There were so many blk ppl and a sprinkle of white at my polling center (Upper Marlboro, MD St Mary of Assump School). Young, old, first time voters, and parents who brought there kids to take part in the process. There was one kid as young as an infant. When she's old enough, I'm sure her parents will share with her how she was there for this historic election. Oh and there was this one dude, that had his hair cut like a curving road with the front dyed red, i guess to match his red Jesse sally Raphael rimed glasses. He don't have to worry bout nobody having a cut like him. All I could do was laugh and shake my head.
And contrary to the rumors, ppl were rocking their Obama gear. The the t-shirts that stuck out to me were the ones these kids were wearing as they watched their parents vote which said: "Tell yo mama, vote Obama!
Despite who you may have voted for today, good for you for getting out there and having your voice heard. Although I'm looking for CHANGE, no matter what happens by the end of the day HISTORY will be made!!!!
