Love

Tickets can be purchased as follows:

$30 Reg. tickets from Groovetickets.
They charge a $2.76 fee per ticket. No delivery cost if picked up from Will call. PS. We did will call last year, the line was off the chain.

$50 VIP tickets from Groove tickets.

$30 and $50 tickets from ticketmaster. There is also a $6 ticketmaster fee. You can get your tickets in the mail for free. They say tickets would be mailed and delivered within 48 hours.

I called Love, they said with the tickets it won't matter what time we get there. As long as we are there b4 last call. We would walk to straight to the door with our tickets. Will callers will have to get in the will call line, and then can proceed to door with ticket.

SATURDAY: 10/14/06
Whoever is interested ( I know missy, you wanna go) in going to the game:

Its Sat. Oct 14 @1pm.
http://www.howarduhomecoming.com/
1:00pm Homecoming: Football Game(Sports)Howard University vs Morgan StateLocation: Main Campus: Greene Stadium

Price: Students: Free; General admission $15.00; Reserved $25.00.

Nite:
H20. They are not doing tickets. Only paying at the door. Doors open at 8pm, admission starting at $20. Yes they are charging $20 at 8:00 pm. The price will go up as they see fit at any given time. No guestlist ppl. So I don't know how many of yall would want to risk paying a arm and a leg to get in this party. And the line is crazy.

Other Sat plans: Ok it looks like a lounge will work better....I only know of Ozio's, is anyone else aware of something that is more poppin on Sat with a nice vibe? Hussleman should know.

Other possible activities: Kween's play starts at 8 on that Friday and Sat. Friday may be pushing it (well for ppl in my car). Sat too if we tryna get into H20 at a decent price.
Dinner on Sat and/or Brunch on Sunday. Please throw out some resturant idea's that will be good from group dinning.

Send me prayers and luck

Don't I look snazzy??

<<<< Me walking snowball. It was too early to smile.

Today is the day, I have my interview @ 2pm. I think I'm ready. Last night I researched some interviewing tips/techniques and commonly asked questions. I have a list of questions for me to ask them. I have a few ppl praying for me, but a few more won't hurt. And big ups to BK for her words of encouragement.

Pray that:
  • I don't stutter, sound stupid, or spill something on my suit during lunch,
  • I remember I know this stuff, stay confident, calm, and collected
  • I find the words to convey my message and I sound prepared
  • I don't make any weird bodily noises or expel any gas
  • They don't throw anything at me, I can't hit back, like me (LOL), and realize my potential

Well that's it for now. It's put up or shut up time. I'll come back and tell yall how I think I did.

**********************Question for the Day**********************************

Why does my coworker insist on bringing fowl smelling food to work on a daily basis? Take that ish to the cafeteria where there's more ventilation.

********************************Update 3:34****************************************

I don't know about this position. It seems like they want me to do a whole lot more than what I was told. And they have serious staffing issues. I did ok, but was unprepared for a few questions. I muttled through the answers though. I had to say something. I hope I didn't sound like a complete idiot. But in any event, It is what it is. If its meant to be I will get it. If not, oh well. It's not like I am lacking in the job department. I have a damn good job and for that I am blessed. :)

.....................

I've been so busy. Every time I think I can come back and blog on a regular, I end up having a million things to do. And I don't get on my computer at home like a I use to. So what have I been up to: nothing much, just working and trying to study....yeah I said trying. I haven't studied for this exam on a consistent basis in lord knows when. But I have to take it Oct. 3rd or I'll have to pay for the section again (which I'ma end up doing anyway, if I don't pass.).

In other news, I've applied and made the list of qualified candidates for a position within my agency. It's a GS-14. I could use the dough. My interview is tomorrow. I am so rusty with interviewing. I haven't had to do this since I got this position 6 years ago. I'll be researching typical interview questions and developing canned answers tonight. I'm so nervous. BK keeps telling me to calm down.

*********************MD/DC/VA BLOGGER M&G**************************
The dates are Oct. 13-15th. It coincides with HU's Homecoming. Since activities aren't posted, I basically see us going out/clubbin' on Fri (Ozio's) and Sat (H2O). I haven't really tried to plan any day events for Sat or Sun. But I'm open for suggestions. I know due to scheduling constraints everyone won't be able to make every event. But perhaps we can all get together for lunch/dinner on Sat. I don't know just a thought. Please fill free to throw out any ideas.

So far those interested: Leon, King, TTD, Laa, Missy, BK, HONEY, and Kween. And Maybe Kangly...I haven't spoken to him yet.

***************************Question for the Day***************************

How come blogger doesn't have blog or blogger in it's spell check dictionary?

Happy Anniversary To ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I know your looking at the "CHCLT History" section and are thinking: "It ain't Oct., yet." But I actually started blogging in August. My first blog locked me out for some reason. If you clicked the link you'll see in this year I have not changed my template. All I've done is changed my font color, lol. I don't think I'ma change it, because: 1. I'm afraid Ima mess something up. and 2. I just don't have the time.

What brought me here:

  • Well when my marriage went to crap, I started getting on the internet so I didn't have to think about my situation. My first addiction was the message board. The first one I signed up for was Russ Parr's. Now I only signed up, so I could read the post about the Low Down brothers. I never went there frequently, they had way too much drama on that board. Eventually, I signed up for Supaken's MB. I felt comfortable there. That's also where I E-met Missaaaaaay, Mr. Gacey, & ETB. Who all I subsequently met personally. Mad cool ppl. That's also when my alias emerged, Ms. Anastasia Beaverhousen. I got the name from Will and Grace....So if you get an email with that name, don't delete, its just me. From Supaken's board I moved to DACRIB.....Where I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle Mikey and the The Diva herself. Funny thing about them, we met on the net, but Uncle Mikey and I work right across the street from one another and Ms. Diva lived around the corner from me. Small world huh. There a several other mad cool ppl I met on those MBs, but they don't blog, so I won't bother to name drop. In total, I think I became a member of about 7-10 MBs. Like I said I was addicted. I would stay up all hours of the night, reading and posting on MB. My sleeping pattern is still jacked up. I can't go to bed before Midnite now.
  • While on the MBs, I also got addicted to IM. My new found efriends became my IM buddies. While I posted on the MB's, I was IMin anyone who was up.
  • Which brings me to the blogger community. MISSAY is to blame. She got a blog, I signed up to read hers. Next thing you know I was blogging and trolling. The first blog, I frequented outside of my core crew.....DAKING....Saw his link on Missay's blog roll. From that day on, my blog experience saw a whole new light. He named me blogger of the week. Therefore, I had to write. That honor brought other ppl to my blog, who I added on my blog roll and surprisingly enough, I made it on theirs. TTD, Laa, Kween, Koolbreeze, Sangin, Chele...yall just don't know how good it made me feel when I appeared on yall's blog roll. Yall were the first group of ppl outside of my core group to add me to yall roster. Now I know I haven't been commenting much lately, but ya girl's been mad busy. I'll be back and sometimes I read and don't comment, thinking noone will see it anyway.

I missed out on meeting Laa and Sangin (Next time ladies). So far I've only met one blogger....My girl HONEY. I'm hoping to change all that. At least meet the folks in the VA/DC/ MD area....Since yall know everything revolves around Missy, lol....She would like us to get together when she comes to town for Howard's homecoming. (Sorry King you taking to long, lol). Now the dates aren't in stone yet, but its either the weekend of Oct 13-15 or Oct. 20-22. I hope yall can come out.

I guess the only things I haven't gotten addicted to internet wise are: games, chat rooms, and myspace. I do have a myspace page link , but I just dont get it. I don't understand the hype.

Well I gotta run and get some work done. I'll holla.

Area code 809, 284, 876

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT AREA CODE
We actually received a call last week from the 809 area code. The woman said "Hey, this is Karen. Sorry I missed you--get back to us quickly. I Have something important to tell you." Then she repeated a phone number beginning with 809 . "We didn't respond".
Then this week, we received the following e-mail:
Subject: DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809 , 284 AND 876
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION PROVIDED TO US BY AT&T. DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809
This one is being distributed all over the US . This is pretty scary, especially given the way they try to get you to call.
Be sure you read this and pass it on.
They get you to call by telling you that it is information about a family member who has been ill or to tell you someone has-been arrested, died, or to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc.
In each case, you are told to call the
809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls.
If you call from the US , you will apparently be charged $2425 per-minute.
Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges.
Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $24, 100.00.
WHY IT ! WORKS:
The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (The Bahamas).
The charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call. If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong.

Please forward this entire message to your friends, family and colleagues to help them become aware of this scam
