OK I can't make a decision. I'm trying to purchase a table to put in my basement hallway. So I have some place to put my keys and what not when i get home. The only thing in the hallway is the stair case leading up stairs...laundry room on the left and entrance to the basement living room on the right. So there is no decour, I have to match.
the banisters look like this:
I've managed to narrow my decision to 3 tables. Now the first table, I can get with only 1 shelf. And I know the last is a little dark. But I like the look of that one. Hell none of them match the banister exactly. I wasn't going for an exact match anyway. So which one do you like the most. My coworker thinks I should go with the last one. (PS. Tigerkiss what is that 60/40 income thing you were talking about?)

I love the 2nd one. The table I have is glass ... it was actually a sofa table so it's pretty long and I have it decorated with a gold runner and three candle holders. I have it in the foyer so as soon as I walk in the door that's where the keys go.
that sounds nice chele. I have these vases my mom gave me to decorate the table, and a pic and sconces to put above it. But I'm not sure the picture will match, the frame is gold. It's probably match the second but, not the 3rd table. And the sconces are an aged gold/metal looking color.
see missy i'm not the only one that needs a place for their keys...Where do you put your keys, missy?
Personally, I'm feeling the 2nd one...the 3rd one is hot too though. Just go with whatever you really like. I never heard of anyone putting their keys on a table though...as long as you can find them, I guess that's what's really important.
I have a table right at the stairs, too. I have one of those artifical flowers in a vase that's all pretty looking from Crate & Barrel. I put the table there, though, for the reasons you stated. I like to come in put my keys and mail there.
I pick the 2nd one...I think it goes better with the banisters and the carpet. I know...that makes no sense...LOL!
WHen i come thru the door there is a windowsill..or the floor..or the computer stand......
@ charles..thanks for the input..."finding my keys" is the point, if i put them in one central place everytime...i spend less time looking for them when i'm ready to leave..but that's me. lol
@ dynasty..thanks ma, the bannister is one reason i picked that one, since thats the only thing i would be able to match in the foyer..
@missy...with all these different places you have for sitting your keys, how long does it take you to find them????
a close race between the 2nd and 3rd...i like the design of the 3rd but the practicality (as if thats a word, but you know what i'm gettin at) of the 2nd.
you should go with the third OF if you have some type of wood in the living, you want to get one that is that same type so as to have continuity through out. but the third would go most with anything.
thanks hunnie....well its not the living room, its the foyer....the room right next to it, well you cant see the furniture from the doorway..but the end and coffee tables are more like the 3rd.
I like the 3rd one but like the practicality of the 2nd one. I say pick the 3rd one and just new decorations to go along with it.

thanks the l, ttd, and sangin...i'm still kinda leaning towards the 3rd one...but that suckas no gonna ship til 7/3/06...i guess its on back order...the 2nd one can ship on 5/25. i am an immediate gradification kind of girl. decisions, decisions...thanks for everyone's input.

sorry I can't help cause none of this furniture is quite my style. although I can say you don't need to match the banisters. The table should match the closest room's decor atleast.
The 2nd one matches the banisters.
